KID Donation Request

The Kananaskis Improvement District (KID) has created a donation program to assist Not-for-Profit organisations that work in or provide a benefit to the KID.

Organisations are eligible to apply for a maximum amount of $7,000 per calendar year. 
 
The application must be submitted no later than June 15th of the given calendar year.  Any applications received after June 15th will be considered in the next annual application cycle, unless otherwise exempted by Council on a case-by-case basis. 
 
All organisations, including not-for-profit organisations, operating within KID must have a business license.  For more information, please visit: https://www.kananaskisid.ca/p/business-licences

Application Ranking and Scoring is as per KID Donations to Community and Charitable Organizations Policy (KID Policy No. 02-2023):

In evaluating each application, decisions will be based on merit with consideration being given to the following:

  1. Evidence for the need;
  2. Magnitude of local ratepayers served;
  3. Quality of management (established track record, proposal well thought out, etc.);
  4. Number of volunteers;
  5. Level of involvement with other community partners; and
  6. Agreement to acknowledge KID’s contribution in all publicity related events or activities relating to the event.
