MUNICIPAL STAFF

The KID Municipal Office, located at the Kananaskis Emergency Services Centre, carries out the functions of financial administration, assessment, taxation, licensing and other activities.

There is one full-time administrator, one part-time staff member as well as a Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) who is also the Manager - Kananaskis Emergency Services with Alberta, Environment and Parks.

Alberta, Environment and Parks provides a number of employees who perform contributed services that aid the KID in providing integral municipal services.

The KID employs full time personnel who are fully cross-trained and qualified in fire, rescue and emergency medical response which provides the KID with an integrated and seamless service. The KESC is staffed by a permanent Fire Chief, four Captains, and three Communication Officers who collectively are responsible for delivering a wide range of programs. On average we employ 15 Call-out Firefighters who reside and work within the community and are available twenty-four hours per day for emergency response.
